Calvert Street Announces Promotions
Calvert Street Capital Partners (“Calvert Street”) is pleased to announce that Matt McLain and John Wissel have been named Partners of the firm.

Matt joined Calvert Street in 2012 and has been a key contributor to the firm’s expansion within the industrial sector. Since joining, Matt has been actively involved with several past and current investments, including Speciality Professional Products, LMT, IOS, Premium Inspection & Testing, TDS, Hocking and Terra Nova. Prior to joining Calvert Street, Matt was an investment banker with Harris Williams & Co. Matt's previous experience also includes working in private equity at Irving Place Capital, as well as five years of strategy and financial consulting at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services. Matt earned an MBA, with high distinction, from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.
Since joining Calvert Street in early 2013, John has made meaningful contributions to several portfolio companies including Abrasive Form, FDS and Main Tape. In addition to his focus on industrial opportunities, John has also played a critical role in expanding the firm’s tech-enabled services practice. Prior to joining Calvert Street, John was an Executive Director at CIBC/Oppenheimer in the Business Services and Consumer Investment Banking group. John also previously worked at Ernst & Young in Assurance and Transaction Advisory roles. John earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Loyola University Maryland.
