Calvert Street has an experienced, diverse group of executives who assist in a variety of ways.  These executives help provide advice and guidance to our investment activities.


Ray Fitzgerald

Ray Fitzgerald is an independent transportation Consultant. Previously, Mr. Fitzgerald was the CEO of Atlantic Aviation Corporation (AAC), a former Calvert Street portfolio company and a leading general aviation company with operations throughout the US and in South America. At AAC, he had P&L responsibility for the $100M enterprise and the mission to turn around and grow this asset. The business was concentrated on private and airline fueling, private and airline ground handling Jet charter and jet aircraft heavy maintenance. Mr. Fitzgerald was recruited for this challenge by Calvert Street, and the investment was sold after three years in a highly profitable transaction.

Jock McKernan

Former Maine Governor Jock McKernan serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Education Management Corporation (NASDAQ: EDMC). He also served as Chairman of Jolly Gardener Products, a former Calvert Street portfolio company.  Education Management is among the largest providers of post-secondary education in North America, based on student enrollment and revenue.  As CEO, McKernan led the successful effort to take the company private in June 2006 in a $3.4 billion transaction with a consortium headed by Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, Providence Equity Partners, and Leeds Equity Partners. The company re-entered the public markets through an IPO in October, 2009. McKernan joined the company in June 1999 as Vice Chairman and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of BorgWarner, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for a Competitive Workforce.

Yves Roy

Yves Roy has been the CEO of SECOR Group, a leading Canadian-based international strategic management consulting firm, since June 2007. Prior to joining SECOR, he was CEO of Les Métaux Tremblay Inc., a portfolio company of Calvert Street. He spent twenty-five years with the Mercer Consulting Group in leadership roles in Canada, Latin-America, Europe and the US, retiring as executive vice-president and CIO. He has helped manage, acquire and divest of companies in each of these regions. Mr. Roy holds a Ph.D. in managerial sciences and applied economics and a M.A. in Risk and Insurance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Harlan Seymour

Mr. Seymour has held a wide range of senior executive positions in the health care and information services industries. He has extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, business development, acquisitions and operations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Performax Corp. (the leading provider of electronic health care claims and settlement solutions), Infrastructure Management Group, Inc. (an international advisory firm serving transportation, utility and other public-use infrastructure facilities and services), POOL Corporation (NASDAQ: POOL), the world’s largest wholesale distributor of swimming pool supplies and related equipment).  He is also Chairman of the Board of ACI Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACIW), a global provider of software for electronic payments and electronic commerce.
